The ground hasn’t changed. It’s still there, just being.
A zen student once asked his master, “What did you do before enlightenment?” The master answered, “I chopped wood and carried water.” The student then asked “What did you do after enlightenment?” The master answered, “I chopped wood and carried water.” This is the truth of the snow and the ground.
